An emergency road closure has been put in place in a Nottinghamshire village due to flooding. Trentbarton has announced details of bus diversions following the flooding on Saturday morning, January 12.
Bus passengers are being warned that several stops will have to be missed by the number 34 service. It follows the closure along Long Lane in the Broxtowe village of Watnall.

The road has had to be closed off due to flooding several times before. The bus stops which will now be missed following the further closure are Buckingham Way, Holly Road, Main Road, Victoria Gardens, Narrow Lane and Long Lane itself.
Trentbarton has also advised people to allow extra time for their journeys. Google traffic data shows some congestion along Long Lane at its junction with Main Road as a result of the closure.
