A bus was left damaged after it collided with a car during the busy rush hour traffic in Newcastle city centre.
The Stagecoach number 39 bus was travelling on Gallowgate when it reportedly collided with a car at approximately 8am on Wednesday.
The road was blocked as emergency services were called to the scene which led to some disruption for commuters.

Other Stagecoach services, namely the 12, 39, 40, 62 and 63, were subsequently diverted westbound following the crash, with the Gallowgate bus stop taken out of use.
Emergency crews attended the scene where one bus passenger was checked over by paramedics. Thankfully, the passenger did not require hospital treatment and nobody else was injured.
Images from the scene show significant damage to the Stagecoach bus with front panels and the windscreen seemingly bearing the brunt of the collision. The road was cleared just after 9am.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Shortly after 8am today (Wednesday), we received a report of a collision on Gallowgate, Newcastle.
“It was reported that a car and a bus were involved and one bus passenger was checked over by paramedics but did not require hospital treatment.
“The road was initially blocked but has since been cleared.”
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson added: "We were called at 08:02am this morning to a road traffic collision between a car and a bus on Gallowgate in Newcastle.
"We sent one emergency ambulance and treated one patient on scene."
