Bury AFC has paid a heartfelt tribute to a 'loyal and dedicated' fan following her death.

The fan-owned club announced the tragic death of Amanda Freeman on social media on Wednesday (May 3). She was said to be a huge supporter of the team as well as a volunteer, fundraiser, steward and recreational player.

Amanda, known as Mandy, was 'always smiling' and would 'go a million miles for anyone'. In a post on Facebook, Bury AFC said: "We are devastated to report the passing of a well-loved and dedicated Bury supporter, Amanda Freeman.
