Burnham’s Brexit bombshell as PM raises move to rejoin EU

European Union Brexit Andy Burnham

Prime Minister Andy Burnham used his first Labour Party conference speech as leader to promise a "new Britain" and state that Brexit did "more harm than good".
Burnham announced he is considering options for the UK's future relationship with the European Union, including potentially rejoining the bloc.
The Prime Minister pledged to overhaul the UK voting system and bring energy, housing, and water into public ownership.
He proposed establishing a free national social care service, to be funded through changes to the pensions triple lock guarantee.
Further options regarding the UK's stance on the EU will be set out ahead of an upcoming UK- EU summit later this year.
