Andy Burnham is set to become the next Prime Minister after securing an overwhelming majority of nominations from Labour MPs, effectively making him the sole candidate for the party leadership.

An additional 27 endorsements on Monday brought his total to 349, surpassing the threshold required to challenge for the top role.
