A man travelled up from London to burgle a home in Nottinghamshire, where he stole jewellery and a mobile phone. Police said Brwa Karim went to Southwell for no other apparent reason than to commit the crime on the night of February 2.
The 22-year-old entered the address after smashing a window pane. He took a number of items including jewellery and a mobile phone, but left his blood at the scene.
Detectives traced Karim to an address in Twickenham where he was arrested. He went on to plead guilty to burglary.
