A burglar took perfume and jewellery after a raid in Valley Road, West Bridgford. After the incident between New Year's Eve and January 3 this year, Dean Holm, 33, of no fixed address, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates' Court and pleaded guilty to the burglary.
He additionally pleaded guilty to having no insurance on January 9 this year, and District Judge Leo Pyle ordered his driving licence be endorsed with six penalty points for the offence. But the burglary was sent to Nottingham Crown Court for sentencing on January 31 as the judge said on Tuesday (January 10): "My sentencing powers are insufficient to deal with you."
A victim impact statement was ordered and a quantification of the loss. Holm remains in police custody until sentencing.
