Burger King will go 100 per cent vegan for two weeks at Bristol site

A Burger King restaurant in Bristol has been selected to have a 100 per cent vegan menu for two weeks straight. To celebrate, the chain is giving away 100 free vegan burgers to its customers.

Following the success of turning the flagship Leicester Square restaurant meat-free, The Mall site in Cribbs Causeway will be ditching meat for a totally plant-based menu. The takeover will begin on October 26 and run until November 6, 2022.

Katie Evans, from Burger King UK, said: “We’re incredibly proud of our meat-free menu; it delivers big taste with no compromises and reflects our ongoing commitment to serving a diverse and innovative range of products. Following the success of the Leicester Square takeover in London, we are looking forward to bringing this range of delicious meat-free menu items to our customers in Bristol.”

The launch marks Burger King UK's continued commitment to being 50 per cent meat-free by 2030 and reducing carbon emissions by 41 per cent per restaurant by 2030. The fast food chain will be turning 24 of its famous menu items completely meat-free, including the Bakon King - which will be making an appearance for the first time ever.

Burger King uses Violife vegan cheese and La Vie plant-based bacon for their menu. Customers can enjoy the wide range of mouth-watering plant-based menu items their way, such as the ‘Cheeeze & Bakon Whopper’ or a vegan version of the iconic fan-favourite, Chilli Cheeeze Bites.

To celebrate the takeover, Burger King will also be giving away 100 tasty Vegan Royales completely free when the plant-based restaurant officially opens on October 26, 2022. Customers need to head to its website to secure the free treat quickly, and show this landing page to staff at the counter to claim a free Vegan Royale.

The offer will be limited to one per customer. It is only redeemable on the first day of opening (October 26). The restaurant also features a recycling bin station, offering fully segregated waste options (food waste, mixed recycling, paper cups (hot and cold), liquids and general waste), to help customers effectively recycle their rubbish after dining.

Burger King's vegan takeover will be located at The Mall, Cribbs Causeway, Bristol, BS10 7SR. Bristol opening hours are: Monday - Saturday 10am – 11pm and Sunday 11am – 11pm.
