Burger King boss urges Trump to swap McDonald’s for a Whopper

Burger King executive Tom Curtis publicly asked President Donald Trump to stop holding photo opportunities at competitor fast-food restaurants like McDonald's and visit Burger King instead.
Speaking in a CNN interview, Curtis reacted to reports from Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. that Air Force One is regularly stocked with McDonald's meals.
Trump has repeatedly promoted McDonald's through public appearances, including working a drive-thru in Pennsylvania during his 2024 campaign and ordering a White House delivery.
Curtis also warned that the renewed trade war between the United States and Canada could increase input costs for the fast-food industry.
The executive stated that Burger King will need to remain firm on menu pricing as consumers face broader concerns regarding food affordability.
