Bungling cops hunting a man in connection with a shooting stormed a house - before arresting the wrong person... and his brother.
Officers from West Yorkshire Police are searching for Oldham man Kashif Hussain, 43, who is being sought in relation to a firearms incident in Bradford last month.
An appeal for help to find him has been circulated by the force.
But they swooped on the wrong address on Wednesday night (February 9),arresting a man with the same surname at gunpoint.
They also arrested his brother.
Sharaz Hussain, 36, and his brother Shazad, 39, say they aren't related to Kashif Hussain - and have demanded an apology.
The brothers were arrested and handcuffed at gunpoint during a dramatic raid at Sharaz's home in Oldham.
They were taken to a police station, but later released without charge.
Footage obtained by the Manchester Evening News showed the moment armed police arrested Sharaz, a taxi driver, on his doorstep.
Sharaz said: "I could see somebody looking through the window.
"I opened the door and armed police were in front of me. The guy was right there with a battering ram.
"I thought at first someone was trying to rob me. Then an officer came to the front with a gun pointing at me. He was shouting 'armed police, get down on the floor'.
"I was barefoot. Two other officers gripped me and threw me onto the floor.
"I'm shouting 'what the hell have I done?'.
"I've not tried fighting with them. They didn't give me a chance to speak or anything. They just bust me to the ground."
Sharaz claimed one of the officers asked his wife 'do you know Kashif?'.
Officers checked his ID, but they still arrested him, Sharaz said. He was left with a cut over his left eye.
"I was bleeding all over my face," he added.
"It was covered in blood. My right knee was gashed.
"I want a proper, public apology. I want everybody to know what happened."
Sharaz said the raid left his pregnant wife, autistic son aged eight and 18-month-old baby boy in shock, with the infant left in tears.
Sharaz said he was taken - shoeless - to Ashton police station, where he had his photograph taken and was put in a cell.
He and his brother were released together at about 11.30pm, he said.
"The sergeant just said 'you're not being charged, we're sorry, you're free to go'," Sharaz added.
"It was terrible. I'm 36. I was born and bred in Oldham. I've worked all my life.
"I have no bad record. This was like going through hell for me, my wife and the kids. My wife was traumatised. I was traumatised.
"I want an apology from the people who arrested me.
"There was no need for the way they treated me. I would have understood if I came out flying or angry. I wasn't.
"They just gripped me and threw me on the floor. What sort of preparation did they do?."
His brother Shazad, also a taxi driver, described how he went to the house house when his brother's phone accidentally dialled him during the arrest, and he heard a commotion.
He said he was also arrested when he arrived.
Shazad said: "Someone has seen this story and told the police it was my brother.
"It was totally wrong. My brother didn't resist arrest.
"I was traumatised, handcuffed and humiliated.
"We've got a reputation around this area and it's gone down the drain."
A statement from West Yorkshire Police said: "Armed police were deployed to an address in Oldham on arrest enquiries for a man wanted in connection with an investigation into a firearms discharge in Bradford, who is known to have links to the area.
"Both men who were present at the address were taken to a police station as part of an identification process.
"Both were released from custody once it was established that neither were the man being sought."
