A schoolgirl who took up martial arts after being bullied has been crowned UK champion and is now targeting international success.
Robyn Allen said she began experiencing issues with some other children after moving to West Derby. As a result, her mum Dionne encouraged the 12-year-old to get into kickboxing to build some confidence.
Robyn was a natural at the sport and after hard work and lots of training, her dad Rob Allen claims the change in her confidence has been incredible. She has now been invited to the World Karate & Kickboxing championships in America.
