Arsenal maintained their perfect Europa League record with a gritty 1-0 win over FK Bodo/Glimt at the Aspmyra Stadium.
The Gunners headed into Thursday night's match at the summit of Group A after dispatching the Norwegian outfit 3-0 in last week's fixture at the Emirates Stadium - and they quickly picked up where they left off in the latest meeting between the two sides.
Bukayo Saka nudged Arsenal into a 24th minute lead after the ball fortunately ricocheted into his face at point-blank range, but the visitors deserved to lead at the interval. Glimt did grow into the match after the break and spurned golden opportunities after getting in behind the visitors, but Mikel Arteta's side managed to stand firm and grind out a result that will keep their momentum rolling.
Here, Mirror Football looks at five talking points from the Gunners' nervy night in Norway...
1) Saka gamble pays off
Although a handful of established first-team names were excused from Europa League duty, Arteta decided to unleash Saka in Norway. It was a gamble that paid off - just.
Fresh off of netting a match-winning brace in the north London derby, Saka broke the deadlock in Norway, albeit with a huge touch of fortune, in the 24th minute. But the England star had come close to breaking Glimt's resistance in the opening minutes of the match with a delicate dink from an acute angle.
Saka did ensure that Glimt full-back Brice Wembangomo had a torrid night before he was withdrawn on the hour mark, but his influence was nowhere near as significant as it has been in recent weeks.
Even though he was quiet by his usual standards, Saka has still managed to chalk up four goals and four assists in his last seven games. And after coming through this game unscathed, you wouldn't bet against there being more to come, either.
2) Odegaard's homecoming
Join the debate! What did you make of Arsenal's performance against Bodo/Glimt? Let us know here.
Norway captain Martin Odegaard returned to his homeland a decade on from making his senior bow as a teenager - but it turned into a bit of a nervy affair for the former Stromsgodset prodigy.
The influence of Arsenal's newly christened captain has grown significantly in recent weeks, but this wasn't the all-star performance he would have been yearning to put on in front of his compatriots.
Odegaard was tipped for superstardom after being introduced to the senior ranks at the tender age of 13. He is undoubtedly starting to live up to all that hype and potential, but this was a far more passive performance than the ones he has produced in recent weeks.
3) Knutsen verdict rings true
Glimt boss Kjetil Knutsen caused a stir last week when he claimed that Arsenal's tactics are "not very complicated" - but he was ultimately left with egg on his face as the Gunners ran out 3-0 winners.
Knutsen predicted that his side could benefit for the space in behind in last week's clash. And although that didn't turn out to be the case at the Emirates, the hosts did find some joy behind Arsenal's high defensive line and were unfortunate not to score themselves - particularly in the second-half when they ramped up the pressure on the visitors.
Knutsen has reportedly been on the radar of several teams in England following his exploits with Glimt. His side's performance will have done his chances of landing a plum job in the Premier League or the upper echelons of the Championship in the future no harm at all.
Speaking before the match, he told BT Sport: "English football and the Premier League is the best in the world, that’s the thing for all coaches and me. At the moment, I’m coach here and I’m focused 100 per cent on Bodo Glimt that’s really important.
4) Nketiah fails to fire
Eddie Nketiah has been Arsenal's main man in the Europa League this season - but the Hale End academy graduate failed to make the most of a golden opportunity to make another statement with Gabriel Jesus rested for Thursday evening's clash.
Nketiah put Glimt to the sword last week, but he was on the periphery for the majority of Thursday night's match and was restricted to just one attempt on goal.
The 23-year-old has impressed when deputising for Jesus after committing his future to the club in the summer, but the forward will have regrets; he could have seriously ramped up the pressure on the Gunners' new No.9 by adding to his tally in Norway.
5) No Fab repeat
Fabio Vieira made a major impression in last week's triumph over Glimt, but he was unable to replicate that performance in Norway.
In truth, it was a missed opportunity for the majority of fringe players who were handed an opportunity to impress. Albert Sambi Lokonga produced a composed display in the engine room just behind Vieira, but Reiss Nelson, who was making his first Arsenal start since January 2021, was another player who was largely ineffective on the left-hand side.
As Glimt grew into the game in the second-half, it was no surprise to see the likes of Xhaka and Gabriel Martinelli called upon from the bench to help see the game out.
With Arsenal looking so imperious in the Premier League right now, these Europa League fixtures represent a major opportunity for players like Vieira and Nelson to enhance their first-team opportunities - but on this occasion, it was a chance spurned for both.
