A construction company has been picked to build a 190,000 sq ft warehouse just off the M1 in north Nottinghamshire. Glencar has been awarded the contract to erect the speculative industrial development at the Fulwood Park development, close to junction 28 of the M1.
Privately owned commercial property developer Rula Developments and European real estate investor Blackbrook are behind the plans, which will include a distribution centre and offices, car park, 50m service yard and site access. Construction – to a BREEAM Excellent rating – is now underway and is expected to take 46 weeks with the site expected to be ready from the start of April 2024.

The 14-acre development – marketed as Fulwood 190 – is situated on the established Fulwood Industrial Estate, next to the A38 Alfreton Road and about 1.5 miles from the motorway.
Glencar chief executive Eddie McGillycuddy said: “This is the second instruction we have received from Rula Developments to date and we are absolutely delighted to back on site delivering for them.
“It was a great experience for the team and I to be on site for the ground-breaking ceremony on Wednesday, June 7, to get this project fully up and running.
“This partnership is a testament to Glencar's unwavering commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction through repeat business.
“We are thrilled to bring our expertise and dedication to this scheme, ensuring the successful realisation of Rula and Blackwood’s vision in this important location within a well-established logistics cluster in the East Midlands.”
