A few days after Jets star wide receiver Garrett Wilson limped off the field during Thursday’s training camp, New York coach Robert Saleh confirmed that the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year suffered a low ankle sprain. He also noted Wilson would only miss a few more days of practice.
Saleh did not specify Wilson’s return timeline. The wide receiver is set to miss Thursday night’s Hall of Fame game against the Browns. The team’s next preseason game is on Aug. 12 vs. the Panthers, but Saleh did not mention if Wilson would be ready.
Last season, Wilson finished with 83 receptions for 1,103 yards and four touchdowns.
