We are seeing the first round of major mock drafts from NFL draft experts in 2024. Because the Arizona Cardinals have two selections in the first round, it makes sense that fans will pay attention.
NFL Network analyst Bucky Brooks released his first mock draft of the season and it has three quarterbacks being selected with the first three picks of the draft. The Chicago Bears take USC quarterback Caleb Williams, followed by the Washington Commanders selecting North Carolina’s Drake Maye and the New England Patriots selecting LSU’s Jayden Daniels.
That leaves every non-quarterback for the Cardinals.
Who do they land in these projections?
Pick No. 4: Ohio State WR Marvin Harrison Jr.
Harrison is the player pretty much every Cardinals fans wants to see land with Arizona. He has the pedigree, the size, speed, ball skills and college production. Ohio State receivers tend to be great and Harrison might be th best receiver prospect in the last decade.
From Brooks:
The Cardinals add a Larry Fitzgerald-like playmaker to a lineup that desperately needs a No. 1 receiver on the perimeter. The Ohio State standout is a plug-and-play prospect with superstar potential.
Pick No. 27: Arizona OT Jordan Morgan
The Cardinals drafted Paris Johnson last year and could be the future at left tackle, especially with D.J. Humphries likely to miss most if not all of next season after tearing his ACL in December. They also have a need at left guard.
From Brooks:
The Cardinals commit to building up the front line. Morgan is a gritty player with the potential to fill a role on the interior or outside at tackle.
