Longtime NBA official and on-court nemesis of Chris Paul, Scott Foster, apparently has jokes. During a recent episode of the Pat Bev Pod, the Milwaukee Bucks guard discussed one in-game moment in which he was giving Foster grief for calling an eight-second violation late with his team holding a double-digit lead.
After the two went back and forth, Patrick Beverley appeared to have a perfect one-liner for the official.
“Don’t make me call Chris Paul on your a--,” Beverley said he told Foster.
But in a surprising plot twist, it appears Foster managed to flip the script on Beverley, and according to the guard, the ref hit him with some trash talk of his own.
“His response? He could have gave me a tech, he could have [said], ‘I don’t want to hear that s---, don’t be disrespectful, Pat,’ [and] gave me a tech,” Beverley said before offering Foster’s response.
“Pat, Chris Paul ain’t got your number,” Foster told Beverley, the guard claimed.
While the longstanding feud between Foster and Paul is widely known at this point, to hear the official troll Beverley right back about it is pretty much perfect.
Here’s a clip of what seemed to be the back-and-forth between Beverley and Foster:
