BTS singer V, despite focusing on his military enlistment, continues to pursue his music career with the announcement of a new single titled “FRI(END)S.” The song is set to be released on Friday, March 15, as revealed through the band's social channels.
The single's artwork features a simple design with a light pink background and text displaying the song's title, the singer's name, and release date. The song is described as rooted in the Pop Soul R&B genre and delivers relatable romance with witty lyrics entirely in English.
This upcoming release follows V's successful debut solo project, an EP titled Layover, which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. Despite narrowly missing the top spot, V achieved commercial success with Layover, which also produced two Hot 100 hits, including 'Love Me Again' and 'Slow Dancing.'
V's fellow BTS member, J-Hope, is also gearing up for new releases, with an EP and a docuseries titled Hope on the Street scheduled to debut in April. Despite all seven members of BTS currently fulfilling their mandatory military service in South Korea, their individual projects continue to excite fans and make waves in the music industry.
