Bryce Young showing steady improvement despite the losses stacking up

It has been a rough couple of weeks for a Carolina Panthers franchise that brought renewed hope into the opening game of the season. With their dynamo number one overall quarterback locked in as the starter, one of the best coaching staffs in the league, and a solid defense, there was buzz around the league this team could do some damage. Fast forward to week six and Carolina is sitting at 0-6.

All hope is not lost however, while Carolina’s season might be over as far as the playoff chase is concerned, but their talented rookie quarterback has been quietly improving his game with each week. Coming off a predicatable blowout loss to the Miami Dolphins, Bryce Young looked like the best he has all season especially in the first half. Young showed a clear understanding of a quick temp offense that trickled the ball down the field in order for Carolina to jump out to a 14-0 lead. That lead of course crumbled by the end of the game, by Young still looked good despite next to no offensive help.

Young displayed flashes of ability that made him the number one overall pick, and even under duress from his putrid line protection he was able to deliver some nice balls. When your top receiving option is the rapidly aging Adam Thielen, and you see little protection in the interior of your offensive line, there is little hope for success but Young is doing his best to find it.

If Young can continue to get better and shed the doubts of fans and boo birds alike, he could perhaps create a respectable ending stretch for a Carolina Panthers team desperately looking for any sign of hope. Given they traded away what could ironically be the number one overall pick in 2024, that franchise could use it.
