Bryan Gil has promised to return to Tottenham “soon” after completing a loan move to Valencia on deadline day.
The 20-year-old only signed a five-year-deal with Spurs in July 2021 after moving from Sevilla but struggled to make an impact under both Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte.
Handed only eight starts across all competitions this season, Gil’s return to Spain will see link up with a Valencia side currently sitting tenth in La Liga.
Struggling for game time anyway, the arrival of versatile attacker Dejan Kulusevski on an initial 18-month loan deal from Juventus has seen Spurs allow him to depart.
Neither club have hinted at any kind of permanent arrangement at the end of the season and Gil sent a message to Spurs fans after the deal was confirmed on social media.
See you soon and good luck 💙💪🏼

Tanguy Ndombele also left on loan during a frantic day in North London as the club-record signing rejoined Lyon.
