A man remains in critical condition in hospital following a serious assault which took place in Dublin on Wednesday night.
The assault took place at around 10:50pm on July 5 at the junction of Foley Street and Buckingham Street Lower and resulted in one man, aged in his 30s, being brought to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
Another man, who was also aged in his 30s, has since been arrested and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda Station in Dublin.
