Bruno Guimarães proved he is just as much of a hero off the pitch as he is on it, by springing a huge birthday surprise on girlfriend Ana Lidia Martins, after she'd cheered him on at St James' Park.
Ana has been a constant presence for Bruno on Tyneside, since the Brazilian midfielder sealed the deal from Lyon to NUFC at the start of the year. She joined Bruno on a private jet as he flew into Newcastle for the first time and has been at every game at St James' since he made his debut.
Huge football fan Ana, who is also a regular at Bruno's games for Brazil, can't get enough of the epic atmosphere at United's famous ground, joining in with renditions of Hey Jude as the club's takeover and new manager Eddie Howe have sparked a huge turnaround in fortunes for the Magpies. Ana has been in the terraces to witness Wor Flags unveil a huge banner in honour of her boyfriend and see him score. And, on the same day she turned 25, Ana was at St James' to see Bruno find the net again as the midfielder scored United's second goal in a brilliant 2-0 win in over Arsenal.
