Bruno Guimaraes insists his dream is to win the Premier League with Newcastle United. The Brazilian's comments come one week after co-owner Amanda Staveley made the confident statement that the north east outfit would in fact be crowned English top flight champions one day, as well as winning the Champions League.

Guimaraes, who was presented with the North East FWA Player of the Year award for 2022 on Sunday evening, has had an incredible impact since arriving on Tyneside little over 12 months ago. The midfielder has consistently spoken of wanting to be a part of Newcastle's ascent to the top and reaffirmed that desire when speaking to award sponsors William Hill over the weekend.

“My dream while I’m at Newcastle, because I know what it would mean for the fans, is to win the Premier League title here,” Guimarães said at the FWA North East Awards.
