Bruno Guimaraes has thanked Eddie Howe for his careful integration process into Premier League life. The £33.5million star wanted to start matches straight away after joining from Lyon.
But Howe gradually built up Bruno's minutes and he is now one of the first names on the team sheet at United. Bruno has so far contributed four goals and made one assist with the Brazilian still an outside shout to be top scorer at the club this season.
Speaking about Howe, Bruno, speaking to ESPN Brasil, said: "It was a difficult adaptation, completely different. It is the hardest league in the world, without a doubt.

"The first two weeks were very difficult, but I had confidence in the coach. He talked to me a lot, said he wanted me to understand how the Premier League works, he wanted me to start some games on the bench.
"It was good for my adaptation, even at the beginning without understanding much, because when you arrive, you already want to play anyway. And it was no different for me. He told me I was going to play, he asked me to calm down, he told me to talk to everyone."
With Newcastle on the brink of mathematical certainty when it comes to staying up, Bruno is already looking ahead to next season.
He said: "We have already achieved our main objective which was to get Newcastle away from relegation. We have 43 points, we were in ninth place and we had a historic start. With the new owners, the project for the next season is very interesting."
