Bruno Guimaraes has revealed a training ground joke with Eddie Howe has helped result in him developing a taste for goals.
The Brazil international arrived with just three to his name for Lyon in Ligue 1. But he is already on seven for Newcastle and is starting to use his head in more ways than one to keep up his goal rush.
Bruno bagged a header against Brentford to score his third via the same manner in 2022. Bruno quipped: "I never scored a lot, but this way, I am scoring. It’s the job of Eddie Howe as well.
"He joked with me that I wasn’t so good with the head and I had never scored a header before signing for Newcastle but I have two here against Leicester and Brentford now!"
Bruno says that the 5-1 win over Brentford was one of the best days of his life. But now he wants to add to that by beating Man United.
He said: "I’m grateful for scoring against Brentford as well. As far as moments inside and outside of the pitch go this is one of the best moments in my life and I want to enjoy this as much as I can."
