Bruno Fernandes admitted his delight at seeing Marcus Rashford dominating the goalscoring charts at Manchester United and hopes to see his other attacking teammates follow suit.
Fernandes has been less productive for United this season in terms of direct goal contributions but by no means less influential on the pitch. The 28-year-old has just three goals to his name to far this season, compared to 10, 28 and 12 in the three campaigns prior.
That is thanks in part to the form of Rashford, with the 25-year-old central to many of the dangerous moments created by the Reds. Rashford has scored 24 goals across all competitions including 16 in 17 games since returning from the World Cup. And far from being concerned over his lack of goals, Fernandes hopes the likes of Antony, Jadon Sancho and Wout Weghorst can also start to make their mark.

"I still feel the same responsibility and I still think I have to do the same things," Fernandes told Rio Ferdinand in BT Sport's Between the Lines. "But obviously now having other players stepping up and doing a great job for us it's wonderful for me because I have just to be there to help them to be in their best positions.
"We’ve been talking about Marcus [Rashford], for me it’s not a problem to be behind him on stats because he’s our striker, our winger. I want them to score goals. I want [Jadon] Sancho to get back and get goals, Antony - well all Anthonys because we have three of them (Antony, Anthony Martial and Anthony Elanga) - to score goals. its important for Wout [Weghorst] to also get his goals as soon as possible because it will give him more confidence."
Martial has scored six goals this season, while Sancho and Antony have five goals apiece, Weghorst has one and Elanga is goalless since last February.
Fernandes added: "Obviously we’ve changed the way we play to what the manager wants and demands from a No.10. Sometimes he makes me play a little bit [deeper] on the pitch, sometimes on the right-wing.
“I want to keep the stats and I want to score goals I can't lie, but I want to get results and this season they've been much better than any other season I've been here and that's the most important thing for me.”
