Manchester United ace Bruno Fernandes claimed he would have given the Man of the Match award to Casemiro and Victor Lindelof for their respective performances in the win over Aston Villa.
The Portuguese ace scored the only goal of the game as Erik ten Hag's side secured a 1-0 win against Villa at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon. United remain on course to finish inside the top four in the Premier League this season - currently sitting two points behind third-placed Newcastle with a game in hand.
Given Fernandes got on the scoresheet in the victory, it came as little surprise he received a majority 45 per cent of fan votes for the Man of the Match award. However, despite his crucial contribution, the 28-year-old suggested two of his teammates had more of a case for the accolade.

Commenting on United's Instagram post confirming that he had won the award, Fernandes wrote: "@casemiro @victorlindelof it should be for both of you this one."
Lindelof and Casemiro were both impressive in the victory over Unai Emery's side, with the pair receiving a substantial amount of the other votes from Reds supporters. The former finished second with 32 per cent, while the latter came in third position with 14 per cent of the votes.
Ten Hag suggested Casemiro has rediscovered his best form for United, with the Dutchman admitting loss of form is likely to affect every player during the course of a campaign. He also praised the leadership the Brazilian ace can bring to the side when he is playing his best football.
"I think that in every season you see nobody is always playing brilliant, he played such a high level, some games with suspension his rhythm is broken and he had to get back," said Ten Hag. "On Sunday it was Casemiro we’ve seen all season, he brings so much organisation, composure, determination and his leadership is so important, others go with him.
"We saw a determined and passionate team in the second half."
