Bruno Fernandes has admitted Manchester United wouldn't have found a goal against Watford even with another 90 minutes.
United started brightly against Watford on Saturday afternoon but the visitors didn't concede against multiple phases of play.
Although Ralf Rangnick's side fashioned chances aplenty, they were squandered and players looked visibly frustrated.
The 0-0 draw means United are now in fourth position on 47 points in the Premier League, however, Arsenal are just two points behind and they have three games in hand. United's Champions League hopes have obviously been hurt.
Fernandes reflected on Saturday's performance after the game and he made a damning statement on the display.
The midfielder admitted that United could have been playing all day and yet they still wouldn't have found a goal.
"It's a hard one to take obviously," Fernandes said.
"We created enough to win this game. We have to be a little bit more clinical, starting with me, I had many chances today to score.
"We didn't score, we don't concede goal, but if you don't score then you don't win the game. It's a hard one to take, but there's a massive game coming up and we have to prepare ourselves for that game.
"It felt like we could have played another 90 minutes and we would have been here all day without scoring. It makes no sense to think about this game. We need to watch and understand what we can do better, but our focus needs to be on the next one."
