Bruno Fernandes has claimed Ralf Rangnick's tactics 'worked really well' in the first half of Manchester United's match against Leicester.
United's hopes of securing Champions League football took yet another - perhaps fatal - blow on Saturday evening after drawing 1-1 with Leicester at Old Trafford. United looked ponderous throughout and devoid of any real quality going forward.
Cristiano Ronaldo was ruled out of the match ahead of kick-off and that left Rangnick with a selection dilemma. The German had the option of starting Marcus Rashford at centre-forward, but he opted to play without a recognised striker instead, starting Bruno Fernandes, Anthony Elanga and Jadon Sancho, in a similar system to one which he used against Manchester City.
