Bruno Fernandes car crash pictures show Man Utd star next to smashed up £94k Porsche

Photos have emerged from the scene of Bruno Fernandes' car crash after the Manchester United midfielder escaped injury in the accident.

The Portugal midfielder was involved in an accident on Monday morning, according to reports. Fernandes was in his Porsche Panamera at the time, and it is believed others travelling in his vehicle have also avoided injury.

The former Sporting CP star was seen standing on the street near the scene of the accident. His own car - worth an estimated £94,000 - is pictured, as is a Volkswagen to which damage appears to have been inflicted.

The second car in the incident is believed to have collided with a wooden fence and deployed its airbag. At the time of writing there have been no updates on injuries to those in the other vehicle.

Fernandes is expected to still be in contention to feature for United on Tuesday night as they take on Liverpool in a Premier League game at Anfield. The 27-year-old also started the reverse fixture, which ended 5-0 to Jurgen Klopp's side.

He had also been a starter for Man Utd in their most recent Premier League game against Norwich City. The visitors came back from 2-0 down to 2-2 before Cristiano Ronaldo completed a hat-trick to give the hosts victory.

"Let’s keep pushing and believing until the end," Fernandes posted on Instagram after the victory over Norwich. The result leaves Ralf Rangnick's side in contention for a top four finish, though they still have work to do.

Fernandes has scored 13 times for club and country this season, remaining a regular under Rangnick. However, he has not netted in a United shirt since their victory over Leeds United in February.

He was a fixture in Portugal's squad for Euro 2020, alongside fellow United man Cristiano Ronaldo. And it was Fernandes himself who was the hero in his country's March play-off for a spot at the World Cup, scoring twice in a victory over North Macedonia.

The Portugal star committed his long-term future to United in April, agreeing a new contract which will keep him on the club's books until 2026. He is now earning a figure thought to be around £250,000 per week, bringing him closer to the highest earners at Old Trafford.

"Yes, he was training with the team obviously the accident happened on the way to Carrington," Man Utd interim manager Ralf Rangnick told the media before the Liverpool game. "As far as I know, no one was injured. He was ok and he'll be ok for tomorrow."

The Red Devils go into the game sitting fifth in the Premier League table after their Saturday victory was accompanied by narrow defeats for Tottenham and Arsenal. They are three points behind Antonio Conte's Spurs, who have a significantly healthier goal difference.
