Rumer Willis has announced that she is pregnant with her first child with boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas.

The 34-year-old actress daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore took to Instagram to share her happy news by debuting her growing baby bump in a series of black and white pictures.

It is not known how long Rumer and Thomas have been an item, with her pregnancy announcement coming just one month after they went Instagram official.

The couple confirmed their romance on November 15 with a series of PDA-filled photos taken out in the woods.

Prior to that, Willis had seemingly dropped hints about their relationship status with the rocker in May when she called him one of “the most talented singers and songwriters I have heard in a very long time (maybe ever).”

In August, he paid a gushing birthday tribute to Rumer online, writing: “In the short time we’ve been together you have filled my life with joy and peace.

“Everything is just so easy with you. We sing, we dance, we play and most of all we laugh. Thank you for being you. You’re a magical human I’m so glad you came into my life,” followed by a smiling and blowing kiss emoji.

This will be the first grandchild for Bruce and Moore, who have remained close following their split in 2000 and in addition to Rumer, share daughters Tallulah, 28, and Scout, 31. Bruce also has daughters Mabel, 10, and Evelyn, eight, with wife Emma Heming Willis.

Sharing her reaction to the news, Moore wrote that she was “entering my hot kooky unhinged grandma era.”

This got the thumbs up from friend Gwyneth Paltrow, who commented: “I’m into this phase for you.”

Bruce’s wife Emma also shared the news, writing: “Baby news is happy news!!! Congratulations @rumerwillis and @derekrichardthomas We are elated over here!”

It’s some welcome positivity following a difficult year which has seen the tight-knit family rally around Die Hard icon Bruce following his aphasia diagnosis.

He announced in March that he was retiring from acting after being diagnosed with the condition, which affects the ability to speak and understand language.
