The Cleveland Browns added one player to their practice squad and released two others. The team announced Tuesday it signed defensive end Sam Kamara and released punter Matt Haack and guard Joey Fisher.
Kamara has been on and off the Browns practice squad since 2022. He played 37 defense snaps in Week 16 against the Houston Texans but did not record a stat. Kamara also played in seven defensive snaps in the Browns’ Week 18 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2022. He played in eight games for the Chicago Bears in 2021 where he tallied 10 combined tackles and one tackle for a loss.
Haack punted for the Browns this past week in their win over the New York Jets after starter Corey Bojorquez was ruled out with a quad injury. He punted three times for 155 total yards. Haack’s release is perhaps a sign that Bojorquez is ready to play in Week 18.
Fisher was an undrafted free agent this past spring out of Shepherd, but hasn’t appeared in any regular season games this year. He spent time on the San Francisco 49ers and Steelers practice squads before he joined the Browns in December.
