After re-signing a depth lineman of their own, the NFL rumors are moving that the Cleveland Browns are now adding another swing tackle in the form of Hakeem Adeniji.
Throughout his career, Adeniji has started games at both right tackle and guard for the Cincinnati Bengals. He was a member of their starting offensive line during their back-to-back deep runs in the playoffs from 2021-2022. His play, however, led to the Bengals parting ways with him as he spent last season with the Minnesota Vikings.
Bringing Adeniji onto the roster likely brings competition to James Hudson III, who has started a plethora of games for the Browns over the last two seasons. His performance when he has filled in, however, has been spotty at best.
Even if both Hudson and Adeniji make the final 53-man roster, the Browns had to run five deep at offensive tackle last year anyway. This signing gives the Browns a bit of added security as he will fight for a spot on the final roster.
