The Cleveland Browns will enter Week 7 with one less offensive lineman on their active roster. Despite starting in the win over the San Francisco 49ers in place of the injured Joel Bitonio, offensive guard Michael Dunn has now been placed on Injured Reserve with a calf injury.
While Bitonio is expected back this week as the Browns travel to take on the Indianapolis Colts, the Browns will need a new backup in case his knee does not hold up after getting it scoped during the bye week. Both James Hudson III and rookie Luke Wypler have some experience playing guard with the Browns. Hopefully it does not come to that, but it will be interesting to see who would be designated as Bitonio’s backup from here on out.
This means, however, the Browns now have one more roster spot open, and there is a reason to believe that could be for quarterback P.J. Walker, who is not on the active roster as of yet.
