Browns now have 81 percent chance to make the playoffs after win vs. Jaguars

The Cleveland Browns, with the help of some friends around the league, have seen their playoff chances skyrocket after they took care of business against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

According to ESPN’s Football Power Index, the Browns now have an 81 percent chance to make the playoffs with just four games to go.

To help their cause, all of the Indianapolis Colts, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Houston Texans added losses to their record this week as well. Houston saw their playoff odds drop to 48 percent, the Colts saw their chances drop to 41 percent, and the Steelers have plummeted their chances to just 31 percent.

After these three teams all dropped games, the Browns realistically need to win two of their remaining four games to get to the playoffs. The Browns now hold the fifth seed in the AFC over the previous teams mentioned.

They look to continue to increase those odds this week against the Chicago Bears.
