While the Cleveland Browns 2021 season didn’t provide the type of season they or their fans would have wanted, there were still some positive parts to the season for the team. The run game once again showed how impactful it can be whether with Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt or D’Ernest Johnson leading the way.
As a part of that run game, the offensive line showed their continued dominance.
Key pieces from that run game, Chubb, Joel Bitonio and Wyatt Teller, also had their contract extended last year.
The defense came on strong as the season went on. With almost a whole new starting unit, Joe Woods started to put together game plans that worked for Cleveland and the players produced.
The player on that side of the ball continues to be Myles Garrett. Despite being limited due to injury late in the year, Garrett had 16 sacks breaking a team record. He also hit the quarterback 33 times, had a forced fumble and a fumble recovery for a touchdown. The hulking defensive end added three pass deflections.
As the offseason rolls on, the team’s social media department put out a top ten list of Garrett’s plays from the season to provide some weekend joy for fans:

With Jadeveon Clowney set for free agency and Takk McKinley, also a free agent, unlikely to play much of the season due to injury, Cleveland needs to find players to help Garrett out. We’ve also seen him be a one-man wrecking crew on many occasions.
What is your favorite Garrett highlight from 2021?
