The Cleveland Browns are interviewing Andy Dickerson, the offensive line coach of the Seattle Seahawks, for their open offensive coordinator post to replace Alex Van Pelt.
This is the first interview the Browns have completed as they look for a replacement for Van Pelt. After the Seahawks have moved on from Pete Carroll, they allow their coaches to interview elsewhere this offseason.
Overhauling the run game is a massive point of emphasis for the Browns this offseason, moving on from running backs coach Stump Mitchell as well. Dickerson was the run game coordinator for the Seahawks in 2021 before being promoted to offensive line coach.
In 2021, the Seahawks were second in the NFL in Expected Points Added on the ground.
Do not look for this to be a short process as head coach Kevin Stefanski and the Browns will continue to turn over every stone. This is just the beginning as the Browns continue to look to improve their offense.
