On Friday, the Cleveland Browns held their second training camp practice of the year, but it was something that happened after practice that excited fans. According to media members at practice, running back Nick Chubb was seen running sprints at what seemed to be full speed for a while after practice ended.
The Athletic’s Zac Jackson said he was also doing agility drills with fellow running back Nyheim Hines, who also is recovering from a knee injury. The team asked the media not to film during that time, so we fans must wait for him to return to the field.
Chubb landed on the PUP list to start camp, but there has been some optimism about his knee due to some videos posted on social media. Having Chubb ready for the regular season would be fantastic for the Browns, but I expect the team to be cautious not to throw him back on the field before he is 100%.
Though you might not see him on the field right now, it’s clear that he will be back sooner rather than later.
