After leaving Sunday’s loss to the Los Angeles Rams with a concussion, there was plenty of doubt that the Cleveland Browns would not get wide receiver Amari Cooper back in the lineup within the week. However, with just two days until the Browns host the Jacksonville Jaguars, they not only got Cooper back at practice but also their other top pass catcher in tight end David Njoku.
Neither player had practiced this week up until this point, casting doubt on their status for Sunday’s game. Njoku has played through far worse this season, suiting up two days after burning 17 percent of his body, but clearing the concussion protocol is no joke for Cooper.
Cooper, however, has not officially been cleared from the concussion protocol as returning to practice is another hurdle toward that goal. With two days to go until the Jaguars come to Cleveland Browns Stadium, getting their top pass catcher back in the lineup would give Joe Flacco and company a massive boost.
