As first reported by ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Cleveland Browns have officially picked up the fifth-year option for left tackle Jedrick Wills. Browns Insider Mary Kay Cabot had been reporting for weeks this would happen as the team is happy with his progress.
It has been an up-and-down career for the former first round pick since his team in Cleveland began. Though marred by inconsistencies it’s hard to argue that he doesn’t have the raw talent. The biggest question is will he ever reach his potential consistently? This will be a big season for Wills, especially with high hopes for the Browns’ passing offense.
