Brooke Vincent has been supported by her fans as she shared the 'hardest thing' about being a mum. The former Coronation Street star shared an honest post on social media to mark Mental Health Awareness Week.
Audenshaw-born Brooke is a doting mum to her two sons Mexx, three, and two-year-old Monroe who she shared with footballer fiance Kean Bryan. Their eldest son Mexx made his arrival into the world in October 2019 and just over a year later, in November 2020, Brooke, who is famed for playing Sophie Webster in the ITV soap announced she was pregnant with her second child who was born in May 2021.
Taking to Instagram this week, the 30-year-old shared a picture of herself working out in the gym on an exercise bike. "Mental Health Awareness Week," she started the caption of her post. "Since becoming a mum I’ve realised that it can sometimes be really challenging in day to day situations.

"The hardest thing for me is that you can’t always control if or when 'outbursts' could happen. I don’t think there is a mum out there that doesn’t appreciate that 'me time' that 'me not being a mum time'."
It is then that Brooke went on to share how she spends her 'me time'. "For me this is most Mondays. I come to the village do a class or have a swim, steam and sauna. For me that’s my chance to recharge and get some good endorphins and reset for the week.
"I always try to make sure this is a scheduled thing as sometimes you don’t know how much you just need that time and as most mums you’re always last in line. The gym for me is definitely a happy place." She concluded her post by telling her fans: "Remember you can’t pour from an empty cup, looking after yourself is as important as looking after others."
And Brooke's fans and followers were quick to cheer Brooke on with supportive messages in the comments. @mrmorningmotivator said: "You doing an amazing job." @celtic_mike2704 replied: "You got this Mighty Brooke!!" @mamaandarabell posted: "So true." @socialisemanagement added: "Love this Brooke."
Back in March, Brooke opened up about having her hands full with two children with a small age gap. Sharing an adorable picture of Mexx planting a loving kiss on a then baby brother Monroe, Brooke penned: "This picture," before continuing: "I could cry at this picture. I remember the time so clearly, yet the days are merged into one big ball of chaotic love.
"Monroe was around 2 months old and Mexx 18 months. That time when they couldn’t be alone for even a second. I never remember exactly what happened on the days when I look back at pictures I just remember it being an utter circus. Not much has changed to be honest.
"I speak to friends who have this age gap and I laugh and say it doesn’t get any easier. The truth is their nuisance antics that stress me out daily are not a patch on the love and happiness they bring to me. Time goes so fast! TOO fast!! I’m nearly crying at the fact Monroe turns 2 in two months."
"Fact is.. I was winging it then, just like I have today so when I say not much has changed that’s exactly what I mean. She then added: "To the mums that message me daily about their children’s antics and their similar age gap.. we’re all in the chaos together." Former Corrie and Emmerdale star Hayley Tamaddon was among the first to respond to the message, writing: "You are an incredible mum. And an honest mum on social media. And that’s what other mamas need. Love you."
