Brooke Shields has revealed she lost her virginity to Superman star Dean Cain when she was 22 years old.
The actress, now 57, admitted she felt "regret" about how she first had sex and said she "immediately ran out of the room butt naked".
Brooke and Dean, 56, dated when they were both students at Princeton University, with Brooke saying she was more interested in the "love and commitment" side of their relationship.
Speaking in her brand new Hulu documentary, Brooke said: "When we finally had sex, I immediately ran out of the room, ran down the hall butt naked, just running. I didn't know where I was going.
"He ran after me with the duvet and grabbed a hold of me and said, 'Where are you going?'
"He said, 'I'm not going anywhere, I'm not leaving you, you're the same person.' He got it immediately and I just cried.
"I wanted to jump into the personal relationship and the love and the commitment. We had to teach each other about each other."
The actress explained how she had been confused by her reaction to sex at the time, saying: "I feel bad for that girl."
"She was old enough to own her own body for real. And just I couldn't get there at that moment."
Brooke previously suggested her reaction to losing her virginity was spurred on by her mother's possessiveness.
Writing in her 2015 memoir, There Was a Little Girl, The Real Story of My Mother and Me, she said: "I believe she wanted me to stay hers alone.
"She believed in an absolute hold she had on me and growing up, and having sex, would mean that I was leaving her.
"It should have been what I had wished for myself, but in an instant, guilt slapped me in the face.
"Instead of giving in to what was a loving, and emotionally safe, relationship, and escaping into the most intimate and deserved moment, I began to cry deeply and silently and I got so overwhelmed."
Elsewhere in the documentary, Brooke broke down in tears as she recalled the moment she was forced to kiss a 27-year-old actor when she was just a child.
She was 11 years old when she was cast as a child prostitute in the 1978 film Pretty Baby and was made to give Keith Carradine a seductive kiss on the lips during one scene.
She now finds it difficult to think about the incident and said she wouldn't have allowed the same thing to happen to her daughters - Rowan, 19, and Grier, 16.
In the documentary, Rowan says she will never watch the movie and exclaims: "It's child pornography," before asking her mother: "Would you have let us [do that] at the age of 11?"
"No," Brooke replies instinctively and her shoulders collapse.
