The Denver Broncos are coming off a 31-28 win over the Chicago Bears that featured two changes in the starting lineup on defense. Here are some quick snap count notes from the victory.
Wide receiver
Courtland Sutton (40 snaps) and Jerry Jeudy (30) remain the top two receivers. Rookie Marvin Mims (17) continues to make the most of his limited snaps.
Running back
Jaleel McLaughlin (16) got more work after Javonte Williams (8) left with a hip injury, but Samaje Perine (22) ended up leading the backfield in snaps.
Outside linebacker
Nik Bonitto (48) started in the place of Randy Gregory (33), but neither played as many snaps as Jonathon Cooper (62). A few days later, the Broncos released Gregory.
Cornerback
Ja’Quan McMillian (43) started in the slot over Essang Bassey (7), a precursor of Bassey being waived on Tuesday. Pat Surtain (72) and Damarri Mathis (71) remain the outside cornerbacks.
