Bo Nix struggled early during Sunday’s game against the New York Jets, going into halftime with negative seven passing yards (yes, negative seven) while trailing 6-0 on the road.
Nix bounced back in the second half, though, leading an 11-play, 87-yard drive in the third quarter that ended with an eight-yard touchdown pass to Courtland Sutton, marking Nix’s first touchdown pass in the NFL.
That touchdown drive gave the Denver Broncos a 7-6 lead and after exchanging field goals, the Broncos ended up beating the Jets 10-9.
On a rainy, sloppy day, Nix finished the game 12-of-25 passing for just 60 yards. The quarterback had no turnovers, though, and he did not take a sack for the second straight week.
Following the upset win on the road, Denver tweeted a pair of funny reactions to the victory on its official Twitter/X page.
