Broncos rookie QB Bo Nix was nearly perfect against hapless Panthers

Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton and his new rookie quarterback Bo Nix took care of business on Sunday taking out what is one of the worst teams in the league in flawless fashion. There are plenty of reasons why Denver rolled over the Carolina Panthers, but one of the main factors was the play of Nix, who was nearly flawless on the afternoon.

It was a career day for Nix who maintained a quarterback rating of 124.2 throughout the contest. Nix completed 28/37 passes for 284 yards and threw for 3 touchdowns, adding one more on the ground. While Carolina does have a historically bad defense it’s still a credit to Nix that he was able to pick them apart so effortlessly and look like a seasoned pro doing so.

With Nix showing he can continue to develop as a passer and a leader, this Denver Broncos team has to be one of the surprises of the season. As Nix improves and this defense continues to get healthy and mesh, the Broncos could find themselves punching a ticket to the playoffs in a few months. Not bad value for the sixth quarterback taken in the class.
