Broncos ranked as bottom-5 team in NFL power rankings

Following a 31-28 comeback win over the Chicago Bears in Week 4, the Denver Broncos are now ranked 29 in Nate Davis’ latest NFL power rankings for USA TODAY Sports. That’s up two from their No. 31 overall rank last week.

Here is Davis’ commentary on the Broncos going into Week 5:

One of the football tragedies of this young season is being deprived of Jets QB Aaron Rodgers and Denver HC Sean Payton matching wits in order to render some kind of verdict on the Nathaniel Hackett “era” in the Mile High City.

Elsewhere in the AFC West, the Kansas City Chiefs are ranked No. 6, the Los Angeles Chargers are ranked No. 22 and the Las Vegas Raiders are ranked No. 28. The Broncos remain the lowest-ranked team in the division.

The New York Jets, who are set to travel this week, are ranked No. 24.

The Chicago Bears are ranked No. 32 (last) and the San Francisco 49ers are ranked No. 1. To view the complete NFL power rankings, visit USA TODAY.
