Russell Wilson has his flaws, but there’s no denying that he’s a gamer.
Wilson bought time with his legs numerous times on Monday Night Football in Week 10, with his touchdown pass to Courtland Sutton and his third-down flip to Samaje Perine among the quarterback’s most impressive plays against the Buffalo Bills.
When it mattered most, Wilson was clutch for the Denver Broncos on Monday, leading a game-winning drive in the fourth quarter. Wilson has now led 38 game-winning drives in his career (most among active QBs) and he has 30 fourth-quarter comeback wins, 10th-most in NFL history.
The relentless-positive QB has a never-quit attitude that is contagious.
“We believe,” Wilson said after a 24-22 win over the Bills. We believe in each other. We believe in what we can do.”
After a rough 1-5 start under new coach Sean Payton, the Broncos have since won three straight games and are now 4-5 going into a Sunday Night Football showdown with the Minnesota Vikings in Week 11.
“I think Coach Payton has done a great job of changing this culture and really impacting us as players,” Wilson said. “The whole coaching staff has been amazing. We’re in this thing together. We’re battling together. We’re fighting together. We believe in us, and I know Broncos Country believes in us, too.”
Wilson and Co. will aim to keep the positive momentum going against Minnesota this week.
