Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix had himself one spectacular October, and now the rest of the NFL has been put on notice.

Nix was named the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Month for October on Thursday, the NFL announced. According to a press release from the team, Nix becomes the third Broncos rookie to win the award, joining running backs Clinton Portis (Oct. 2002) and Mike Anderson (Oct. and Dec. 2000).

In four starts in October, Nix completed 82-of-123 passes (66.7%) for 870 yards with seven touchdowns and one interception (102.7 rtg.) while also rushing 29 times for 149 yards (5.1 avg.) with two scores. He led all rookies in offensive touchdowns (9), passing scores (7), completions (82), completion percentage (66.7%) and passing yards (870) in October.

Nix and Co. went 3-1 during the month, breaking a losing streak to the Las Vegas Raiders, winning an emotional homecoming for head coach Sean Payton and a posting convincing win over the Carolina Panthers. The only loss came at home against the Los Angeles Chargers on Oct. 13.

On the season, Nix has completed 165-of-261 passes (63.2%) for 1,530 yards with eight touchdowns and five interceptions (81.4 rtg.). His 165 completions are the most by a rookie in team history while his 1,530 passing yards rank fourth among Broncos rookie signal callers.

Nix will look to continue his development against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
