The Denver Broncos have promoted wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey from the practice squad to the 53-man roster, the team announced Saturday.
Humphrey (6-4, 225 pounds) is a sixth-year wide receiver who played with the New Orleans Saints under Sean Payton from 2019-2021. He joined the Broncos last year and has hauled in 17 receptions for 212 yards and three touchdowns in 19 games (nine starts).
Denver had a spot open on the active roster for Humphrey after placing outside linebacker Baron Browning (foot) on injured reserve. Browning will now miss at least the next four games.
Elsewhere on the roster front, the Broncos also elevated running back Tyler Badie and defensive back Tanner McCalister from the practice squad to the game-day roster. Badie and McCalister will revert to the practice squad on Monday. Humphrey was fully promoted, so he’s staying on the active roster.
Denver will now have an open spot on the 17-player practice squad. The Broncos will likely fill that spot early next week.
