The Denver Broncos made a pair of roster moves on Wednesday.
First, the Broncos signed inside linebacker Alec Mock. To make room for Mock on the 90-man offseason roster, Denver waived rookie outside linebacker Jaylon Allen in a second move.
Allen (6-3, 240 pounds) was waived with an injury settlement. He joined the team this spring as an undrafted rookie out of Memphis.
Mock (6-3, 240 pounds) originally signed with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent from the Air Force Academy on May 10. He was cut on June 20 and then re-signed on Aug. 6. The Broncos cut him again on Aug. 12 and have now re-signed him again on Aug. 14 after he cleared waivers.
In four seasons with the Air Force Falcons, Mock totaled 224 tackles, five sacks, four pass breakups, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and one interception returned 18 yards for a touchdown.
Denver will host the Green Bay Packers in Week 2 of NFL preseason on Sunday night. The game will be nationally televised on NFL Network.
