Wilson was 11-19 in two years with the Broncos as their starting QB. He threw for 6,594 yards with 42 TD passes and 19 interceptions.
Overall, it was a bad time for Denver and Wilson with the Broncos.
Russell Wilson trade went down two years ago. May go down as worst trade in NFL history. #Broncos gave up:
* Two 1st-round picks
* Two 2nd-round picks
* Drew Lock, Noah Fant
* $165M in guarantees to Russ
* Will eat $85M in dead money if/when they cut him post-June 1— Adam Levitan (@adamlevitan) February 27, 2024
Assuming Russell Wilson is designated a post-June 1 cut, the aftermath looks like this for the #Broncos …
2024:
$39 million cash*, $35.4M cap2025:
$0 cash, $49.6M cap2026:
Off booksA $255.4M salary cap makes that pill go down a little easier …
